When she was commissioned in 1983 she was taken apart inside and 5 extra layers of glass were applied to all bulk heads (for extra strength), as her owner wanted her fully capable of offshore ocean sailing.With that said, she has sailed offshore from the west coast of Florida to Annapolis, Md, Mexico, Belize, and Cuba on several occasions. In 2001 she won 1st place, PHRF non-spinnaker, in the Cuba El Morrow Castel Race and in 2002 she came in 2nd non-spinnaker - St. Petersburg, Fl to Isla Mujeres, Mexico race.Her owner of 25 years has spent considerable time and money maintaining and updating all of the equipment on the boat to top condition. With recent replacement of the rigging, electrical systems, and equipment, the boat is ready to go.
